PTFE Flanged Bushings for Conveyor Tensioner-Arm Pivots

PTFE Flanged Bushings for Conveyor Tensioner-Arm Pivots

This application concerns the pivot shaft of a conveyor tensioner arm. The idler pulley has a separate rotating bearing position. BONIU can review its copper-plated SF-1-F composite sleeve and flange construction where a compact plain pivot and controlled axial location are required.

Guide the tensioner pivot without confusing it with the idler bearing

Belt force acts through an offset arm and can create radial reaction and edge loading at the pivot. Small corrective movements and long dwell differ from continuous shaft rotation. The arm must move as intended under the approved tensioning arrangement, without excessive flange clamping or contamination at the sleeve edges.

Start with the matching BONIU product construction. Send the assembly section as well as the individual bearing drawing so that the working contact, locating surfaces and installation access can be reviewed together.

Selection boundaries and installation

Press the sleeve squarely using a guided tool that protects the lining and flange transition. Check installed clearance in the actual housing. Verify that the fastened arm remains free to articulate and that seals or washers do not introduce unplanned friction. Confirm lining and backing separately from the exterior plating.

Material and replacement approval

For SF-1/DU-type composites, identify the backing, PTFE-based running layer and exterior finish separately. DU-type describes a product family here, not an original branded bearing or a guaranteed equivalent. Product colour and a reused image cannot confirm material. Required documentation, dimensions and manufacturing scope are reviewed with the quotation.

The application description is a design-review starting point. No stock availability, service-life guarantee, machine approval, universal load limit or test result is claimed. Contact pressure, motion, temperature, counterface condition and the assembled load path must be checked for the chosen specification.

Purchasing questions

Is this for the rotating conveyor roller?

No. This enquiry is for the tensioner-arm pivot. Roller speed and its bearing arrangement are separate.

Can copper plating identify the backing material?

No. Specify the backing, running layer and plating as separate requirements.

Can flange clamping control the tensioner movement?

Do not assume so. Axial restraint and the intended pivot friction must be defined by the assembly design.

Can the original product image be used to approve this application?

No. It illustrates the bearing structure. Use the approved part and assembly drawings to confirm dimensions, material, clearance and duty.
