ZCuSn10P1 Sleeve Bushings for Press-Feed Roller Rockers

ZCuSn10P1 Sleeve Bushings for Press-Feed Roller Rockers

Request a ZCuSn10P1 replacement sleeve for the oscillating rocker that raises or releases a press-feed roller. The component here is the rocker’s pivot support, separate from the rotating feed-roll journal or press tooling guide. A useful quotation identifies the pivot load during feed engagement and the lubricant route during short angular movement.

Small oscillation needs a defined lubricant path

Feed-release motion may reverse before much of the pin circumference passes through the loaded zone. Report the rocker angle, cycle frequency, dwell, feed engagement force and any impact at the stops. Show where the oil or grease inlet enters the assembly. A groove layout intended for continuous rotation should not be copied without checking whether lubricant can reach the actual oscillating contact.

Keep ZCuSn10P1 written in full on the material callout: the letter P is part of the specified tin-bronze grade. Do not silently replace it with a Pb designation or with a foreign comparison grade. The enquiry should state the casting standard, edition and product condition. Material selection and machining feasibility are reviewed against the actual pin and housing rather than a general claim that every tin bronze suits the same rocker.

The sleeve cannot correct rocker or pin misalignment

Check whether the rocker pivots between two supports and whether their bores remain coaxial under clamping. Pin bending, a damaged bracket or a tapered worn housing can concentrate load at one end of the sleeve. Correct those assembly issues before selecting an oversize repair part. If the original design uses a rolling, spherical or polymer bearing, retain that architecture unless the machine designer approves a change.

Installation and selection checks

Inspect both support bores and the pin before pressing in a new sleeve. Use an aligned tool bearing on the sleeve end, and protect the finished bore. Align any specified feed hole with the housing passage. Check the installed bore after fitting and move the rocker through its complete release travel before powered cycling. Confirm that the pin is retained without clamping the rocker side faces.

Frequently asked questions

Should the new bore copy the worn pin?

Measure the pin and compare it with the original specification first. A damaged pin may need repair or replacement; an undersize sleeve is not an automatic cure for scoring or taper.

Does ZCuSn10P1 mean dry running?

No. This enquiry is for a lubricated solid-metal sleeve. Any graphite-plugged or composite alternative is a different construction requiring a separate review.

How should an old drawing with an incomplete grade be handled?

Send the original callout and any available material record. Ask for clarification of the exact grade and standard before quotation approval instead of accepting a guessed equivalent.

Request a drawing-based quotation
