Countersunk Graphite Flange Bushings for Diverter-Chute Shafts

Diverter chute shaft flange bushings guide the pivot of a bulk-solids flap or chute mechanism. MPSZ/OFP02-style graphite flange construction is a candidate where the mounting design requires conical fixing seats and a clear adjacent moving envelope. It is not a complete diverter valve or a material-flow seal.

Keep the fixing heads clear of the diverter movement envelope
Material can strike the flap, collect near the shaft exit and change the force needed to switch positions. The bushing reaction is influenced by the flap lever arm and support spacing. A conical screw seat must match the specified fastener head, while dust exclusion and process containment remain separate requirements.
Start with the matching BONIU product construction. Send the assembly section as well as the individual bearing drawing so that the working contact, locating surfaces and installation access can be reviewed together.
Dimensions and operating data for quotation
| Review item | Required information |
|---|---|
| Flap and shaft | Shaft diameter, bearing spacing, flap geometry, load at each position and actuation angle. |
| Flush mounting | Flange thickness, hole coordinates, countersink angle/depth, screw head and moving-part clearance. |
| Bulk-solid exposure | Material type, dust/abrasion, temperature, seals or purge arrangement, counterface and maintenance access. |
| Purchase specification | Drawing revision, quantity, units, exact material or composite specification, finish, inspection-document requirements and delivery destination. |
Selection boundaries and installation
Verify the locating fit independently from clearance fixing holes. Seat the flange without drawing a misaligned shaft into position. Check screw-head clearance at both switching limits and maintain the designed separation between bearing and shaft seal. Confirm the approved graphite surfaces and axial contact if the flange carries thrust.
Material and replacement approval
For copper-alloy parts, state the exact standard and grade required by the design. JDB/500# and geometry codes do not establish chemical composition. Do not treat different national alloy designations as interchangeable without checking their specifications. Product colour and a reused image cannot confirm material. Required documentation, dimensions and manufacturing scope are reviewed with the quotation.
Agree the material, counterface, operating clearance and acceptance criteria before approving a replacement. Include any required dimensional inspection, material documentation or sample review with the RFQ so it can be addressed in the quotation.
Purchasing questions
Does a graphite sleeve stop dust leakage?
No. The shaft seal or containment arrangement must be specified separately.
Are countersunk and counterbored fasteners interchangeable?
No. Their head seats and remaining flange sections differ. Match the approved screw and drawing.
Can selection use only the actuator torque?
Include flap and shaft geometry, material loads, bearing spacing and the resulting pivot reactions.
Can the original product image be used to approve this application?
No. It illustrates the bearing structure. Use the approved part and assembly drawings to confirm dimensions, material, clearance and duty.
