MPIZ / OFR11 Recessed Round & Cut-Edge Flange Oilless Bushings

BONIU supplies MPIZ / OFR11 recessed round-flange oilless bushings with embedded graphite solid lubricant. The range is offered for drawing-defined round and cut-edge flange requirements, with a locating collar and fixing holes matched to the assembly. Send your drawing, quantity and working conditions to confirm the exact flange outline, bearing dimensions and material specification.
MPIZ / OFR11 Graphite-Plugged Oilless Bushings
The bearing combines a cylindrical sleeve with a mounting flange and a projecting locating collar. Embedded graphite plugs form part of the solid-lubricant bearing construction. The photographs show the sleeve, flange, mounting holes and collar from different sides so the installation geometry can be reviewed.

Potential enquiries include guide assemblies, tooling, pivots and sliding mechanisms that require a bearing sleeve with a defined mounting interface. Suitability depends on the load, motion, shaft finish, installed clearance and environment. The product designation and photographs alone do not establish a load rating or a fit tolerance.
The copper-alloy body supports the specified bearing duty, while embedded graphite supplies solid lubrication at the agreed working surfaces. Confirm the alloy grade and graphite specification with your order. The gold-coloured appearance does not identify an alloy grade.
Recessed Installation and Flange Outline
The projecting collar and flange must match the housing recess, support face and surrounding clearance. Identify which cylindrical surface locates the part and which face sets the installation datum. Confirm the sleeve projection and collar height on each side of the flange.
The supplied photographs show round-flange examples. Any cut-edge or flat detail must be defined on the approved drawing, including its location, width and orientation relative to the mounting holes. Do not infer a cut-edge profile from a perspective photograph.

Confirm hole diameter, recess geometry, hole positions and the intended fasteners from the assembly drawing. The mounting flange and locating collar should receive the intended support without imposing distortion on the bearing sleeve. For a two-flat H-style outline, see our MPITZ / OFR12 recessed H-flange bushings.
Dimensions and Quotation Checklist
Provide a dimensioned drawing or the following details. BONIU will review the bearing and mounting interface before confirming the quotation.
| Feature | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Sleeve | Bore, outside diameter, overall length and projection on each side of the flange. |
| Flange outline | Outside diameter, thickness and any cut-edge or flat dimensions and orientation. |
| Locating collar | Diameter, projection, mating recess dimensions, datum face and clearance. |
| Mounting holes | Quantity, hole positions, diameter, recess details and fastener specification. |
| Bearing construction | Copper alloy grade, graphite specification, plugged surfaces and required fits. |
| Operating conditions | Load, sliding or rotating motion, stroke, speed, shaft finish, temperature and contaminants. |
| Order requirements | Quantity, drawing revision, tolerances, inspection documents, packaging and destination. |

MPIZ / OFR11 is the requested range designation. Before replacing another supplier’s bearing, compare the complete geometry, material, graphite pattern, installed fit and working conditions.
Installation and Self-Lubricating Operation
Clean and deburr the housing recess, flange support face, mounting holes and shaft. Check that the collar and sleeve fit the intended locating surfaces. Install the bushing squarely with suitable tooling and protect the graphite plugs from impact.
Seat the assembly against its specified datum, verify that there is no unintended interference, and use the approved fasteners and tightening sequence. Check the installed bore clearance and shaft movement after tightening. A flange that is unevenly supported or pulled down by the screws can distort the bearing.
Oilless and self-lubricating describe the intended solid-lubricant bearing concept. Confirm the actual lubrication, running-in and maintenance requirements for your application. Heat, contamination, misalignment and wear still require assessment. Any axial sliding duty at the flange must be specified separately; it should not be assumed from the mounting flange alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
What must be specified for a cut-edge flange?
Provide the full flange outline, cut or flat dimensions, and orientation relative to the fixing holes and installation datum. The photographs illustrate round-flange examples.
What is the role of the projecting collar?
Its role and fit are defined by the assembly drawing. Confirm the locating surface, collar diameter and height, mating recess and installation clearance.
Does self-lubricating mean no inspection is needed?
No. Review the bearing’s working conditions and confirm lubrication and maintenance requirements for the selected alloy and graphite construction.
Can MPIZ / OFR11 replace an existing flange bushing?
Send the drawing or sample dimensions together with the shaft, housing and application requirements. Replacement compatibility must be checked against the complete specification.
Can you quote custom sleeve lengths or mounting holes?
Send your complete drawing, quantity and operating conditions. BONIU will review the geometry, material and inspection requirements before confirming the quotation.
Request an MPIZ / OFR11 Quote
Send your drawing, required quantity, flange outline and housing recess details. BONIU will confirm the graphite-plugged bearing construction and recessed mounting interface for your order.
Pilot-collar location in a recessed round-flange assembly
This enquiry covers a round or drawing-defined cut-edge flange with a locating collar entering a mating pocket. The pilot interface establishes a different procurement question from ordinary face-mounted round flanges. Specify the outline variant explicitly rather than treating round and cut-edge versions as identical.
| Drawing review | Information for quotation |
|---|---|
| Pilot interface | Dimension collar diameter, engagement height, pocket fit and permitted corner radii. |
| Axial stack | Show flange thickness, housing recess depth and sleeve projection on both sides. |
| Outline and fixings | Define round or cut-edge outline, flange diameter, hole coordinates and edge clearances. |
Installation and operating boundaries
Review which surfaces locate the bearing and which merely clamp it. Do not use fixing screws to pull a mismatched pilot forcibly into its pocket. After seating, check the guide axis against the mating shaft and confirm that no unplanned face contact changes the axial stack.
Include the drawing revision, quantity, required delivery destination and inspection-document requirements. Photographs show geometry; they do not establish an alloy grade, coating test result or service rating. BONIU reviews the requested specification before confirming the quotation.
Purchasing questions
Does a pilot collar eliminate alignment checks?
No. The pocket position, pilot fit and mating shaft alignment still govern the assembled guide axis.
How does this differ from MPITZ/OFR12?
This page covers the round or specified cut-edge outline. OFR12 uses the H-flange envelope with two flat sides; pocket and fixing dimensions still need comparison.
Can a photograph identify the pilot tolerance?
No. Use a dimensioned and toleranced drawing; photographs demonstrate geometry only.
