Tin-Plated PTFE Flanged Bushings for Pop-Up Wheel Diverter Brackets

Request tin-plated SF-1-F flanged composite sleeves for the tilting support brackets of a conveyor pop-up wheel diverter. The sleeve guides the bracket’s pivot pin, not the high-speed wheel axle. Define the raised and lowered bracket positions, bearing contact and flange clearance on the assembly drawing.

Check the loaded raised position and the lowered clearance
Provide parcel load distribution, bracket geometry and the actuator connection. The pivot reaction can change as wheels lift into contact with a parcel. Include contact shocks, jam cases defined by the machine designer and the location of mechanical stops. If two flanged sleeves face each other, show the gap and shaft-retention stack so tightening does not preload their thrust faces unintentionally.
Tin plating is the requested outer finish. For a steel-backed SF-1 construction, the steel backing, sintered bronze interlayer and PTFE sliding layer remain separate material requirements to confirm. Do not classify the part as a tin-base bearing or assume that plating increases its thrust capacity. Specify which flange surface slides and the mating face finish; axial location alone does not establish allowable thrust.
Application boundaries to confirm
Show dust accumulation, wheel debris and any cleaning exposure beneath the conveyor. Protect the pivot from pieces trapped during lowering. This product enquiry supplies no parcel-weight rating or diverting accuracy claim; those depend on the complete bracket, actuator and control system.
Dimensions and drawing-based quotation checklist
| Review item | Information required |
|---|---|
| Bracket pivot | Sleeve dimensions, pin diameter, support spacing and installed fit. |
| Flange contact | Flange geometry, axial clearance, rubbing face and retainer stack. |
| Duty envelope | Raised/lowered angles, parcel reactions, lift frequency and stops. |
| Specification | Steel/bronze/PTFE layer requirements, tin plating, environment, quantity and revision. |
Send a dimensioned new-part drawing with units and revision, the mating-part dimensions and requested inspection documents. A worn sample is useful supporting evidence but may not preserve the original fit.
Installation and selection checks
Press with support that protects the flange and lining. Check shaft alignment and installed bore before connecting the actuator. Verify that the lowered position clears the conveyor and that the raised position reaches its stop without pinching the flange. Test the full motion and inspect debris shields before loading parcels.
Frequently asked questions
Can this replace the diverter wheel axle bearing?
That is a different rotating duty. Submit its speed, load and bearing arrangement separately.
Is tin plating the sliding layer?
No. The specified PTFE-based lining is the sliding layer; tin plating describes an exterior finish.
Can the flange be tightened solidly between brackets?
Use the designed axial clearance. Clamping a moving flange can cause binding and wear.
